Walnut-Shaped Vinaigrette Powder Perfume Photo Sterling Silver 925 c .1800s
This is a walnut-shaped vinaigrette (possibly part of a chatelaine) that holds a powder puff, perfume bottle, and photo, and is made of sterling silver. Our research suggests it was made in the late 1800s. The perfume bottle is surrounded by a pin cushion, all of which is on a hinge that folds out of one side. In the center, on a hinge is a place for a mirror on one side and a photo on the other side. Behind that there is a place for a small powder puff. The mirror, powder puff, and cork for the perfume bottle are missing. There are no pins in the pin cushion. No photo found in this locket. The interior is a gold tone and is stamped “STERLING 925." The walnut measures 1-7/8" x 1-3/8". The snap closure works fine.
    Pre-owned. Condition described above.
